This is the Mars Omsk Engine Bureau Design, formerly Glushenkov, located in the city of Omsk. Collaborate with CIAM (IAM) Central Institute of Aviation Engines. The first engine was the 300 shp GTD-1, followed by the GTD-5 that has been in production for many years.
“GTD-3”
-The GTD-3 engine has been manufactured since 1964.
-It has great similarity with the American Allison-250, at least it is identical in its general architecture.
-It is manufactured in Poland by WSK-PZL, at their factory in Rzeszow. The engine is known there as TWD-10B.
-The next engine is known inside Glushenkov as TVD-10, a 990 CV turboprop in the TVD-10B version of the illustration.
“TVD-10B”
-The TVD-20 is a turboprop that uses the gas generator of the TVD-10B. It delivers 1,380 CV to the shaft.
“TVD-20”
-The TV-0-100 is an 830 CV helicopter turboshaft, mounted on the Ka-126 helicopter.
-The design is due to Kobchyenko.
“TV-0-100”
-Part of the development was transferred to Romania, which commissioned the mission to Turbomecanica SA.
“TV-0-100, cutaway”
-In the shown cutaway you can see the axial-centrifugal mixed compressor and the inverted combustion chamber. A turbine for the gas generator and another one for power.
