KOBCHYENKO (KOPTCHYENKO) engine specifications

(See Mars and Soyuz). Today in Soyuz.

-His Design Office was in Omsk and is responsible for the design and development of turboshafts such as the TV-O-100 used on Kamovs Ka118 and Ka126.

-It has a large circular air filter and particle separator at the same time around the engine's air intake.

-It makes us think of Lycoming T-50’s turbines in its architecture. In the section of the illustration we can see the large accessory and gearbox on the left. On the right the power group: compressor, chambers and turbines.

It has a mixed axial-centrifugal compressor, an inverted flow combustion chamber, one turbine for the compressor and another one for the power. It delivers 720 CV to the shaft.

-Another engine that appeared next was the GTE-400 with 400 CV of power to the shaft and it was intended for the twin-engine version of the Ka-118.

-Together with Khachaturov they also made the R-79 and R-179. See Soyuz.
