(USA)

Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, (Sandia National Laboratories) also collaborates in the DARPA program of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

-We have information about one of their tests with a rocket launched at high speed against a cloud of particles and tungsten darts, to analyze its effects.

-It is done at a very high Mach speed, in a way to simulate a re-entry into the complex atmosphere.

-Sandia is included because apart from testing engines and vehicles, they also drew conclusions that were useful to the builders.

From Appendix 6: For high-speed tests on land, the engineers of this laboratory made a kind of sled in which they placed a rocket motor of approximately 3000 Kgf of thrust (with two stages, as mentioned).
