This is PNPP “Aviadvigatel” known as the “Perm Scientific and Products Enterprise, Aircraft Engines”.

-Established in Perm (see Perm and Aviadvigatel).

-The produced engines were the D20P turbofan with 11,900 lbf of thrust, and the D25V and D25VF turboshafts.

“D25V”

-The D30s on the Tu-134 aircraft are by-pass engines with two shafts, an annular chamber, and delivering 14,990 lbf of thrust.

“D30-F6” (PiP)

-The one of the F6 series shown here, with afterburner, was mounted on the Myasischev M-55.

-And the D30-III version was fitted with a thrust reverser for landing maneuvers on civil aircraft.

-The D-30-KU had another type of thrust reverser (eyelid type) for braking during the landing run, and was mounted on the Tu-154 transport plane.

“D30-III and D30-KU”

-All D-30s were Soloviev's design. The D30s also had the designation PS-30.

-That's how the D-90A were also the PS-90A.

-We already saw this in the “Aviadvigatel” chapter.

“PS-90A”

-The D-100, D-110 and D-112 are more modern turbofans from the 1990's.

“D-100”

-The "cores" were based on those of the PS-90A.

-The former with thrust in the order of 19 to 21,000 Kgf is a turbofan of normal design.

“D-110 and D-112”

-The D-110 has two contra-rotating “fans” and has more power, from 20 to 24 tons of thrust.

-And the D-112 is a contrafan variant, but which has a different characteristic for the gas generator system: it is reverse flow.

-And curiously very similar to the Allied Signal (now Honeywell) ATF-3, but much larger.
