Since 1952 Mitsubishi Jukogyo Kabushiki Haisha has been repairing and overhauling engines of the Japanese Defense Air Force and some airlines.

-Engine manufacturing begins later, around 1967 with the CT-63 helicopter turboshaft under Allison license.

-They also made the JT8Ds for Pratt & Whitney. As well as they intervened in the FJR-710 and RJ-500 programs.

“H-IIA”

-In collaboration with the Rocket System Corp. it intervened in the H-2A (H-IIA) rocket engine series.

-MHI also made the LE-5B and LE-7A liquid fuel engines that ran on LOX/LH2.

-The “Boosters” of the Japanese satellite rockets were in clusters around the main carrier's hull and ran on HTPB type solid fuel.

-MHI also did joint projects with Boeing for Delta IV, cryogenic upper stages such as the MB-35 (RS-73) of the year 1999 with 16,000 Kgf of thrust. It ran on LOX/LH2.

-They also made the 20,400 Kgf MB-45 or the MB-60.

-The LE-5B is designed for the second stage of the HII carrier and was an improvement on the LE-5.

-The thrust was 14,000 Kgf. They were on the Lace and the Himes.

“LE-5B” (PiP)

-LE-7 gives almost 110,000 Kgf of thrust and uses LOX and LH2, and was destined for the first stage of the H-II.

-The HIMES delivered 14,000 Kgf with the same fuel as the previous ones.
