Located at Olympia Airport, WA, this company specializes in converting existing engines such as Allison 250s for installation in airplanes and helicopters, including twin versions such as the Twin-Pac.
-The Soloy 206 consists of two Allison 250-C20S capable of delivering up to 420 SHP together and 650 with two C30s.

“Instalación Soloy 206”
-The Soloy Turbine-Pac is offered with an RR/Allison 250-C20S engine, in a conversion for 420 SHP, including the reduction gear for the propeller. With the ability to act as a puller or a pusher.

-Soloy engines have been used as a “retrofit” for airplanes and helicopters in order to improve their characteristics. More than 500 engines had been installed before the year 2000 on Cessna 206, 207 airplanes and on Hiller and Bell 47 helicopters.
-If the Twin-Pac was the coupling of two Allisons, the Dual-Pac is the coupling of two Pratt & Whitney PT-6s destined for airplanes such as the DeHavilland Canada DHC3 and equivalents in its category.

-The two P&W-C PT6 engines can operate individually to drive a common gearbox for a single propeller.
-The Soloy is offered as “Aviation Solutions” in the subtitle of its company name.
-There are some new illustrations of the Turbine Pac adaptions for Cessna 206 type aircraft, etc.
-These are Allison 250-C20 and C30 turboshafts to which a major reduction gear is added, making them turboprops.

“Turbine Pac, 780-1000-1”
-This last example is an adaptation of the 420 HP Allison-C20S, with the propeller rotating at 1,810 rpm.
-Perhaps the most important component incorporated in this modification is the reduction gear, gear capable of operating normally with engines between 400 and 735 HP.
-At the rear of the reduction gear there are supports for accessories.
-Below we show an exploded view of all the reduction-gear components.
