Surname belonging to designer A.P. Soloviev of the Perm Bureau of the MKB.
“Pavel Alexandrovich Soloviev”
-He is responsible for the famous D-15 engine that won world records for speed and altitude on a special Myasischev M-4. The engine delivers more than 28,000 lbf of takeoff thrust.
-The TV-2BM turboshaft was later known as the D-25V with a maximum power of 5,500 shp.
-It was installed on helicopters such as the Mi-6 and -10. There are D-25VF versions, with 6,500 hp for the Mi-10K, crane.
“Soloviev D-25V”
-The D-20P is a two-shaft turbofan installed on the Tu-124, twin-engine passenger aircraft. It gives more than 5,000 kgf of thrust.
“D-20P”
-The D-30s are engines derived from the D-20, with an initial thrust of 11,000 Kgf.
“D-30”
-D-30KU versions were installed on the IL-62M-200 instead of the Kuznetsov NK-8.
“Soloviev D-30KU, series II”
-They were also mounted on the Tu-154M. The D-30KP engines power the Il-76 with 12,000 Kgf of thrust (26,455 lbf).
“D-30 with reverser”
-The D-30F-6 are those mounted on the MiG-31 with 15,500 Kgf using afterburner. This aircraft has two engines.
“D-90A”
-Soloviev was involved in the development of the D-90A (PS-90A), a high-bypass ratio turbofan. Bench tests of this engine began in 1985. See Perm.
-It was from a new design for it was unlike any previous engine at the time. Its initial power was over 35,000 lbf and the cruise speed at 11,000 meters was 0.8 Mach.
-The D-110 is an advanced turbofan with reduction gear, capable of delivering up to 55,000 lbf. Reminiscent of the Garrett ATF-3.
From Appendix 6: See Perm and Aviadvigatel.. We have a cutaway drawing of the PS-90 that clarifies interesting internal details.
“Nice illustration of the PS-90” (PeT)
-The D30F6 is the well-known engine that powers the MiG-31, with two shafts and afterburner.
“Nice illustration of the PS-90” (PeT)
-For 5th generation fighters such as the Su-37 there is the D-30F11 version and the D-30V12 for the M-55.
“Soloviev D-21A1”
-The Soloviev D-21A for high speed and altitude is intended for the S-21, aircraft of Sukhoi and Gulfstream.
“S-21”
-Soloviev's OKB was OKB#19. Today it is also located in Perm, but after the division of the USSR Aviadvigatel. and Motorostroitel took over the development of Soloviev engines.
