See Charles Renard. In the chapter dedicated to this inventor we saw the Vermiculaire engine devised in 1878.
-There it is mentioned that in 1884, together with Captain Krebs, he built an 8 HP multipolar electric motor to mount it on the “La France” airship.
-The photograph of this engine is offered below.
“Renard and Krebs”
-In 1896 it is said that he presented the Adianomic engine, running on steam with 8 radial cylinders and that it was installed on the "General Meusnier" airship.
“Renard Adianomic engine”
-In 1897 it was followed by the 3-cylinder steam engine.

“Renard 6-cylinder at the MAE”
-At the Air and Space Museum in Le Bourget, near Paris, they preserve a 3-cylinder steam engine and another with six cylinders: a double row with three cylinders each.
-From Renard is also known his explosion engine that started its operation with gasoline and switched to hydrogen -the same used by airships for support. This was from 1890 to 1893.
-The rough treatment of the strong hydrogen charges broke the pieces. It was calculated for 100 CV.

-During a last and profitable visit to the Le Bourget Air and Space Museum in Paris, new photographs and views of the Renard engines exhibited have been compiled in new mono-themed sections and also in the Engine Reserve of the same Museum.
-Reviewing Renard's work we have found the electric motor of the airship "La France" (1884) as it was exhibited in Chalais-Meudon.

-Charles Renard also made a bulky 100 hp engine that had a length of 3.80 m. The photos below are of Chalais before, and at the MAE today.

-In the same way, the steam and adianomic are preserved as we see below.

-The engine with three steam cylinders is the one that follows, as it was at Chalais-Meudon, and restored at the MAE.

-The six cylinder as it was exhibited in Chalais, with a dynamometric windlass, in 1900.

-The Vermicular is also on display at the MAE, lovingly restored.

-And a rear-view photograph of it from the year 1878.

-Finally a toroidal engine that he called rotary motor in scissors.
“Toroidal Renard”
-Only the existence of this wooden model of the toroidal is known.

-A curious two-cylinder V-engine, whose propeller-fin design is a powerful eye-catcher, is attributed to Renard.
