The engines that were designed by Pollmann -the name by which they are known- were manufactured by Heinz Pollmann Fahrzeug-Motoren und Flugmotorenbau (HEPU) of Uffeln-Ulotho.

-Also known as KFM. In Italy the engines were manufactured by IAME or Ital-American Motor Engineering, in Zingonia who also used the KFM name. They are based on VW engines, modified such as the HEPU 40/3500 series, that is to say with the -2 and -48 sub-models. All of them delivered from 38 to 40 CV and were built between 1960 and 1962.

-There was a first Pollmann 20 CV two-cylinder engine in 1961, but no practical application is known.
