Aerospace Engines A to Z
Aerospace Engines A to Z

A great designer of light aircraft that adapted engines from the automobile market mainly to all of them.

-Some small Lycoming and Continental have also been used, but testimonially.

-The first and most common was the engine of the old Ford A car and also the T.

-Pietenpol has been very unique in its designs of proven efficiency and safety.

-To the point of proclaiming the opposite of an aviation law: that of the mother who advises her son to “Fly high and fast”, which is true.

-But Pietenpol made aerodynamic planes studied and tested on an infinite number of built devices.

-If we take a good look at the plane drawn in the center of the patch, it is simple, a two-seater with a Ford car engine.

-Throughout this "A-Z" publication appear several modifications of the Ford car engine. In Europe, perhaps the best known is the Carden Ford (see).

-The comments about the Ford engine were that at times it did not seem that the plane had an engine due to its smoothness.

-Other engines seen in several aircraft are automotive, such as those showed below -they are not the only ones-.
