OMKB is the "Omsk" Design Bureau and is the continuation of V.A. Glushenkov, former design bureau from 1956 (see Mars).

-Glushenkov's engines have mainly gone to power helicopters, that is, turboshafts like the GTD-1, the first product with 300 SHP.

-The GTD-5 and GTD-3 followed, the latter being the most prolific for its variants and use.

OMKB GTD-3
“GTD-3”

-They were manufactured under license in Poland by PZL, as -10W model.

-It had a 6-stage axial and 1-stage centrifugal mixed compressor, driven by a double turbine.

-The combustion chamber is annular. The power turbine is free, with the shaft output at the rear and a power of around 1,000 shp.

-Other turboshafts and turboprops are the TVD-10, TVD-20 or TV-0-100.

-The TVD-10, of the order of 1,000 CV above or below, depending on the version and with lines very similar to the English Gnome.

-This engine was also made in Poland.

OMKB TVD-20-03
“TVD-20-03”

-The TVD-20, turboprop was of a different design with reverse flow and an output power of 1500 CV to the shaft.

-The TV-0-100 turbine, from an initial 700 hp, reached 1100 hp.

-Comparing, this engine has an air to the American T-53 and T-55 (or vice versa).

OMKB TV-0-100
“TV-0-100”

-It had an axial and centrifugal mixed compressor, an inverted annular combustion chamber to turn the gases back to the multi-stage turbines, for the compressor and for the power output shaft.

-It has an important gearbox and accessories as well as a good filter for intake air.

-The TRDD-50 was previously known as TV-50.

“TRDD-50 with fairing” (PiP)

-It is a small turbofan of just over 1,130 lbf of thrust.

What stands out is the winding path of the air flow, both from the primary for the gas generator, and the secondary from the By-pass.

OMKB TRDD-50, cross-section
“TRDD-50, cross-section”

-The combustion chamber is of the “mushroom” type, with a “spray” fuel injection system as in the Szidlowsky Brevets. HP shafts for the gas generator turbine and LP for the fan.

-The compressor is mixed, axial and "semi-centrifugal" since this stage is rather of the diagonal type (as in the HeS-11), it can use lid-type reverse.
