Sometimes it is written as Kolosov or Kolesov. Today this company is RKBM, in Rybinsk. This is the OKB Design Office of Pietr A. Koliesov who took over Dobrynin's office before 1960.

-Koliesov was already related to the development of RD-21 (BMW-003).

-He is considered to be specialized in vertical take-off engines, used on the Yak-36 (RD-36 engine), on the Yak-38 (RD-38 engine), or the Yak-141 (RD-41 engine). The RD36-41 was used on the Yak 33.

-In 1973 he dedicated himself to designing an engine that could alternate with the Kuznetsov NK-144 on the Russian Tupolev Tu-144 SST aircraft, with much lower consumption, operating as a pure turbojet at supersonic speeds and as a turbofan at subsonic speeds.

-He made studies on “Scramjet” propulsion systems for speeds from 5 to 7 Mach. (See chapters of major brands such as RR, GE, etc. for Scramjets).

-The Myasischev M50 and M52, and the Tupolev Tu-22 airplanes were powered by the Koliesov NK7F (VD-7) delivering 18,150 Kgf with afterburner.

From Appendix 9: The RD-36-35F engines. -35P12 and -51A are for main propulsion. Their vertical takeoff variants are different.

-The VD-7-MD variant is also attributed to Koliesov.

-Kolosov (Koliesov), was the chief engineer at the Voronezh factory: Factory 16.

-He was involved in the construction of several engines known as the Renault family that were built there, and the M-11, M-105 etc.

-The M-16 was of his own design, a light engine with four horizontally-opposed cylinders that gave 60 CV.

-It seems that the M-16 did not give the desired result and did not go into production.

-Another engine, but of greater power was the M-1 with factory designation M-116P, a modernization of the M-105.
