-It is a JSC, the Kazan Motor Building Products Ass. (Production Company).

-Currently this factory is the builder of ND Kuznetsov engines.

-For example, since 1993 it has been dedicated to the development of the NK-93, a 18,000 lbf thrust propfan.

-From this factory appear two engines for light aviation, the P-800 and the P-1000.

-It seems that these engines are based on a previous product, the M-29.

-The P-800 is a horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine that gave 65 hp.

-The P-1000 had some more dimensioned pistons and cylinders, and gave 80 CV. Both engines work with the 2-stroke cycle.

From Appendix 6: The JSC KMPO is the Kazan Motor Production Association Joint Stock Company. located precisely in Kazan, Russia.

-This organization began its activity in 1931, beginning with the manufacture of the M-11 for the U-1 and PO-2 aircraft in 1934. It seems that this is done by GAZ 16 together with GAZ 27.

-In 1939 they started the VK-105PF, also known as M-105PF, an engine that was widely used in the Patriotic War.

-Curiously, Glushko and Korolev were also developing booster and combat rocket engines, such as the RD-1 during that period, (see both).

-In 1943, when the war was over, they began with the construction of turbojet engines, the first being the RD-20 of Lyulka, and pre-production tests were done.

-In 1948 they started to work on the RD-500 and between 19551 and 1953 on the VK-1.
