Rockwell manufactured the JLO engines, so they became known as Rockwell-JLO (sometimes Rockwell-Ventura-JLO).
-And also as Aerosport-Rockwell-JLO.
-The LB-600-2 model gave 33 hp at 4,300 rpm.
-It had 2 horizontally-opposed cylinders and was air-cooled.
-Similar were the L-680R with 45 hp.
-The 395 cc engine with a single cylinder gave 20 hp.
“Rockwell-JLO table”
-The small two-stroke, 3-cylinder engine with 40 hp was installed on the small Bolkow Bo-102 helicopter, as shown in the picture below.
-It was mounted in an upright position, directly driving the gearbox for the mast rotor and the tail rotor.
-This brand passed its production to Cuyuna.
-A small table of the engines that are in production by Rockwell-JLO has been presented above, and the appearance of one of the engines is already identical to Cuyuna.
“JLO on Bo-102”
From Appendix A7/6: The JLO engine that we presented went on a snowmobile. It was small, but powerful enough to drive a motor glider. With 35 hp this horizontally-opposed two-cylinder engine was installed on a pylon above the wing.
“The JLO on a motor glider”
-It is able to propel it at a cruising speed of 70 mph.
From Appendix 10: JLO depends on the Rockwell group. It is dedicated to small engines for motorcycles and light vehicles, and it has models for use in aviation like the following examples.
“JLO stationary engine”
“Boxer used in aviation”
From Appendix 11: JLO is the same company as ILO. ILO has started in Germany in 1911. At the same time in its logo it already put JLO. Later it has been a part of Rockwell.
