In 1938, mr. H.E. Hebrard, presented the design of a 2-stroke diesel engine with rigid rods.
“Hebrard”
-The principle is that of guided sliders, where the crankshaft main journal slides.
-It was tested at the Brandt Establishments. It is logical to think that with these engines the masses in motion seem greater than those of the classic engines.
-It is not the first engine that uses rigid cranks and an elongated hole for crankshaft rotation (see Bourke).
