GLOSTER
(UK)
The Gloster E28/39 aircraft engine, better known as British Gloster E28/39, was the same as the one installed on the American Ryan Firebird aircraft built by G.E. it was the I-A similar to the English W2B plus a Pratt & Whitney piston R-1830 in the bow.
-Before, the first mentioned English jet aircraft flew with an engine designed by Frank Whittle, the W.1, built by BTH (British Thomson Houston).
