At a Light-Aviation Show in France, Marcel Echard presented the 4D engine, an improvement of the previous 4C-02 and 6A-01.
"Echard 4-D"
-We see a picture with a view of the engine on the magnetic plate side. It was used in motorized gliders, it displaced 1000 cc and gave 35 CV at 2,800 rpm.
-It weighed 35 Kgs and run with the two-stroke cycle.
From Appendix A1/6: Better known as Echard-Lutetia (see both names).
-We have obtained a drawing of the engine from the epoch following WWII. The architecture of this engine can be clearly seen.
- It has six radial double cylinders, running with the two-stroke cycle and has an intake compressor located in the box where other engines have the gear.
