DETROIT AIRCRAFT ENGINE CORP engine specifications

As we will see, it is the result of different name changes of the same facilities.

-It was the"Air-Cat" engine builder in 1925.

-It was a five-cylinder radial engine that gave 80 hp with its carburetor at the bottom, and valves in the air.

-There was a support plate at the rear for anchoring the engine to the aircraft.

-The Air-Cat was mounted on Driggs and Central-States Monocoupe planes.

-The engine is attached to the structure of the plane by a four-arm plate from the rear as shown in the illustration.

-At the lower part we see the carburetor and on both sides the two magnetos.

-On the crankshaft there are the two counterweights opposite the neck where the connecting rods and pistons are connected.
