AEROTECHNIK engine specifications

Tatra is one of the famous companies of this country that along with Skoda built car- and aircraft engines.

-Tatra is perhaps somewhat below the previous one, but even before the Second World War, in 1936, they made the inverted four-cylinder Hirth engine, under license for the Tatra 131 aircraft (Bücker). They built the Tatra T-100 and later the T-102. (see Tatra).

Then as Aerotechnik it has been producing the veteran Walter Mikron four-cylinder piston engine.

-The "S" variant is installed in a glider derived from the L-13.

-Between 1986 and 1992, under the name Aerotechnik Tatra, the AT-714 was built in the Kunovice factory. It seems to be a VW engine conversion with four opposed cylinders giving 78 hp.
