Apart from the great engine designers, many others such as G.S. Skubachevsky made interesting engines.

-Shortly before WWII, it was he who was looking for high-power engines, above the existing Klimov and Mikulin, beyond 2,000 HP.

-The M-250 was a 24-cylinder with six four-cylinder blocks.

-It was liquid cooled with reduction gear and a three-speed supercharger.

-The power ranged from 2,200 to 2,500 HP.

-Another engine in this category would be the M-251TK with turbochargers.

-Skubachevsky was looking for powers between 2,500 and 3,500 HP. This engine's designation was VD-3TK (Dobrynin intervened here, see), with the same arrangement of the 24 cylinders as the previous one.

-Likewise with 24 cylinders in the same architecture as the previous ones was the M-53K with designation VD-4K. It gave between 3300 and 4300 HP of power.

-All the above mentioned engines were intended for strategic bombers type Tu-85 and Tu-4 mainly.

-These engines are exhibited at the Rybinsk Factory Museum.
