There may be confusion with Violet.
- But some historians say it was designed by Voilet, who worked for AVA (see).
- The AVA General Motors Agency in Paris. A pair of engines were built there, such as the Type 4A-00 (Semi-Cicada), giving 25 hp at 2,250 rpm and 28 hp at 2,800 rpm. From 1935 to 1943.
The other engine was the AVA Type 4A-02, with 35 hp at 2,250 rpm and 40 hp at 2,800 rpm. From the same period.
Here is an early engine from 1925, designed by Voilet: a horizontally opposed twin-cylinder engine with 6 hp at 2,000 rpm.
