P. Viet of Boulogne-Billancourt manufactured a combined compressed air and fuel starting system for the large piston engines of the time.

-The difference with other systems is that it did not have a compressor coupled to the engine to charge the pressure tank for later use of pressurized air.

-The central pump unit is inside the cockpit within reach of the pilot. It can compress air, use a fire extinguisher, and pump gasoline.

-Another interesting fact: the pressure tank and air pump can inflate the airplane's wheels, as seen in the following system. In other words, it is a useful piece of equipment to provide autonomy in the field for any aircraft equipped with it.
