Initialed I.A. Uvarov, in the late 1930s, he proposed and manufactured a toroidal engine that functioned as a gas generator to drive turbines.
-It had a proposed power output of 1,500–1,600 hp. Below we show a photograph seen at the Monino, the Russian Air Museum in Moscow.
-Other engine designs are known from WWII, such as the M-Sh, known as "Sturmovik," for aircraft on ground-attack missions.
-He collaborated on an upgrade of the thirty-six-cylinder, turbocharged M-11 TK to reach 5,000 hp.
-He also participated, along with Kuznetsov and Kuibyshev, in the development of turbines based on the Junkers Jumo 004s taken from the Germans and later entered production, such as the RD-10, -12, and -14.

- The design of the prototype GTU-3 gas turbine, with 1,150 hp, is known by a certain V.V. Uvarov.
From Appendix 10: The main text mentions that V.V. Uvarov had designed a turbine that appears to be a project known as the E-3080M.
- It was a turboprop with a three-stage axial compressor and a single turbine. The design began in 1939 at OKB-41, and after production, it appears to have been tested around 1948.
