-The 125 HP was achieved at 1,400 rpm. Due to their use on coastal surveillance airships, their operational reliability was valued.

-Keep in mind that they entered the sea with a 12-hour full-throttle radius.

-The Union Gas Engine Co. of Oakland, California, manufactured the engines installed on the USS Naval Service C-5 blimps, as seen in the following illustration.

Both the 1-6 and 2-6 are on display at the NASM (National Air and Space Museum), the Smithsonian in Washington.

Producing 120 hp at 1,350 rpm, they were water cooled, with overhead valves and camshafts.

They had a twin Zenith carburetor and either Berling or Dixie magnetos. They had almost 700 cu in. of displacement.

The factory was in Oakland, California, and the engines were manufactured around 1921.
