-The idea of ​​this double-row radial engine that had the two rows facing each other so that every two cylinders had a common cylinder head, was the same as the Junkers type 205 engine, which we see schematically in the second figure, but as if we were bending it in the direction of the two arrows through the center of the cylinder (and the combustion chamber).

-To see a practical implementation of this Szydlowski and Planiol engine, have a look at the Salmson chapter, the SH-18 engine. This is exactly the project that has already been carried out.

To understand the operation of the connecting rods, the 1929 Continental R 670 single-cylinder engine was chosen.

A demonstration of Version 3, improved at the author's suggestion, is also available on YouTube at a later date. This version shows bronze valve guides, improved valve spring movement, and the split crankshaft counterweights and front bearing balls also move.
