It is the “Snecma Propulsion Solide” company, a division of Safran since 2005, and was the result of its creation within Snecma, in 2002.
-Its roots are in SEP, SEPR and LRBA of Vernon.
-It makes the solid-fuel missile engines like those for the Mistral surface-to-air.

“Ariane 5 launch”
-The Ariane 5 booster engines, attached to the main body, have nozzles built by SPS.
-The engines are known as MPS or Moteurs a Propergol Solide. Below we show an exterior detail of the nozzle.

-For new projects such as the Vega P80, SPS is also involved in the nozzle. See below.

-Since 1985, the French deterrent forces have had the M4 vector, then the M45 in 1997. Passing through the M20.
-The M-45 is a three-stage system. From 2010, the M 51 should have entered service, to replace the previous one.
