SKAGIT
(USA)
It is not a brand, but a possible hybrid engine that the Skagit Valley Flying Museum possesses.
-The museum staff at this small sports aerodrome dedicated to the reconstruction of old aircraft, has not been able to identify it.
“Engine seen almost from above”
“Front-left view”
-The author gives the name of the place where it is deposited, possibly created there (due to its good appearance, like new), looking like a mixture with Heat-Henderson, or Henderson, oil sump.
-The cylinder blocks, all four in one piece, look like from a water-cooled Ford A engine.
-This cylinder block has plates attached for cooling, without knowing if they have liquid connected to the ones that surrounds the cylinders.
-The cylinder head simply closes the cylinders and has its own cooling fins. It has two spark plugs: one on top and the other on the side. It has an L-shape combustion chamber and side valves.
“Classic Henderson oil pan”
-The engine does not look like a Henderson as a whole. We consider it a modification. Awaiting more details.
