This institute began the development of a Hall effect electric propulsion motor in 1998.
-In 2001 it was already carrying out tests with this type of engines.
“Hall thruster prototype”
-Between 2002 and 2003, the 40 nM Hall effect model was put into operation.
-In 2004, high sustainability tests were carried out for 550 hours, in a vacuum environment.
-From then until 2008 the engines already took definitive shapes and there were convincing tests on satellites.
