Sauer Motorenbau GmbH was founded by Heinrich Sauer in 1978, located in Ober Olm.

-It develops engines for light aviation based on VW engines. They have powers of 54, 65, 80, 85, 88/92, 100/105, 126 and 163 CV.

“S1800”

-The basic S1800, with a displacement of 1,745 cc gives 60 CV at 3,000 rpm, manufactured from 1991 to the present.

It has variants such as SE 1800, UL 1800 and S 1800UL.

-All Sauers are four-stroke, four-cylinder engines.

“SS 2100”

-The 2100 (2136 cc) range gives 80 CV and were the S 2100, SA, SS, UL models.

“Sauer S 2100UL”

-The S 2500, with 2483 cc, gives 90 CV and up to 126 CV with the turbocharged version.

-The same powers are valid for for S,ST, SD, UL and S-UL versions.

-We have pictures of the first three since 1989 and the next two since 2001.

-The turbocharged S 2500ULT gives 126 CV at 3,000 rpm and 114 CV at 2,700 rpm.

-The S-2700 is almost identical in appearance but with some more displacement.

-There are the SM, T, UL and S-UL versions. Displacing 2,660 cc it gives 163 CV at 3,000 rpm.

“Water-cooled twin-cylinder”

-The new two-cylinder engine is water cooled and has double ignition.

-It looks like an S-625 version but it is water cooled.

-Sauer has its engines for ULM airplanes and four-cylinder VW-type engines that are adapted for aviation .

-With these small engines it enters the field of RPVs, UAVs, and Drones.
