From the Peugeot-Citroën group. The AX and Peugeot 106 Diesel engines that give 55 hp at 2,500 rpm with a displacement of 1,400 cc, using gas-oil, bio-diesel, etc. have been mounted on the “Gaz’Aile 2” aircraft.
"Adapted PSA Diesel Engine"
From Appendix 9: The car engine factory that supplies especially to Citroën and Peugeot (all belong to the same owner family) also has its engines adapted by home builders and small specialized companies.
“A 150 CV engine adaptation” (PiP)
"The same engine with intercooler" (PiP)
-The 150 CV has reduction gear, turbocharger, intercooler, and fuel injection system.
-Lightweight engines in one way or another, and of one model or another are adapted by the enormous “homebuilt” construction hobby that exists in France.
-We see another recently adapted 55 CV PSA engine:
“PSA de 55 CV” (PiP)
-The 55 CV engine that gives its power at 5,000 rpm has a displacement of 1,400 cc and can run on automotive diesel or JetA1.
-The three photos show construction stages, finally installed in a cell.
-The Peugeot 208 car engine has also been adapted for aviation.
"Peugeot 208 engine that has been adapted"
