J.A. Prestwich (JAP) of London was contracted by Aeronca to build the Aeronca E-113C as the Aeronca-JAP J-99 engine with 36 HP at 2,400 rpm and 40 HP at 2,540 rpm.

-These engines were built between 1936 and 1940, and were widely used in the English light aviation of the time. They had double ignition.
