From Appendix 9: The founder of Otto Schwade & Co. had a son named Hans James Schwade who became a pilot in 1910.

-Later he built Farman-type planes. He took over the company he named Schwade & Co. to make engine accessories such as gas and liquid pumps and also made upgraded Gnome-licensed radial rotary engines. (see Schwade & Co.).
