NSI Propulsion Systems Inc. is located in Arlington, Washington.
-They adapt Subaru car engines for aviation. These engines are widely accepted in light aviation, ULM and VLA.
“NSI, EA-81-108-TB1”
-There are two basic models: the EA- and the EJ-.
-Of the first there are two variants, the EA-81-108-TBI, giving 108 HP at 5,850 rpm, manufactured from 1993 to today.
-The other variant is the EA-81-150-TTBI that delivers 150 HP at 5,600 rpm. It is the turbocharged version. The characteristics of the Subaru are maintained, its four liquid-cooled, horizontally-opposed cylinders. Dual ignition and fuel injection are added.
“NSI, EA-81-150-TTBI”
-These Subaru engines were also known as "Suber". From 1996 to the present, the EJ series are presented as the new NSI Aero Subaru engines and they are offered with the formula “FWF Plus Installations”. Including bed, hoods, exhausts, installations, etc.
“NSI, EJ 22/25 series”
-The EJ-22-170-EFI gives 170 HP at 6,250 rpm. It has 16 valves, four per cylinder, and it has a camshaft on top of each cylinder row, that is, an electronically controlled SOHC (Single-Over-Head-Camshaft) ignition.
-The four motors presented in this chapter use a PSRU (Propeller Speed Reduction Unit) gearbox.
-The double ignition is characteristic because, being double, they fed a single spark plug.

-The EJ-25-205-EFI gives 205 HP at 5,950 rpm.
