Novus built two versions of rotary radial engines. One conventional rotary with a fixed crankshaft and rotating cylinders. The other one was a double-rotary engine in which the crankshaft rotated in the opposite direction of the cylinders at half speed. In this case it drove two contra-rotating propellers.

-The rotary in the illustration has the crankshaft fixed to the aircraft's fuselage and rotating cylinders.

-It does not have the front cover with the propeller base. Its power was 70 CV at 1,200 rpm.

-The Novus were first built by the Horch und Co. of Zwickau. Germany.
