Edouard Nieuport manufactured two-cylinder engines between 1910 and 1914. They gave 18 CV and 28 CV. The engines were designed by this French pioneer.
“Nieuport 2, 28 CV”
-Other information mentions 35 CV at 1100 rpm. Possibly another version. Here the 28 CV engine is insisted. The Nieuport 1 with 18 CV is also mentioned.
“Nieuport 2, 28 CV, front view”
-It had splash lubrication for the crankshaft, plus a pump that adds oil pressure to the group. They had double ignition with magnetos and spark plugs from Nieuport itself.
-The valves were controlled by rocker arms. The design was more complete than its counterparts of the time when some still used automatic intake valves.
