Mosler converts Volkswagen engines, both four cylinders and the reduction to two cylinders. They were established in Hendersonville, NC.

-In 1989 they acquired HAPI, and later it became TEC (year 1998), from Total Engine Concepts moving to Riviera Beach, Florida.

-The early Mosler engines (VW) were air-cooled and 4-stroke.

-The well-known "Red" series, due to its color, consists of four horizontally-opposed cylinders, boxer.

-Only the 65 HP and 82 HP are known as the "Mosler Red Engines" series. They had double CDI ignition.

-They are offered with benches, controls or complete replacement for other existing engines in well-known light, experimental, and ULM aircraft.

-The Mini-Merlin is a well-known Mosler aviation adaptation of the Honda Prelude 4-cylinder car engine.

-As it is said at the beginning, there are the Volkswagen half-engines, the well-known MM four-stroke and two-cylinder, special for ULM.

-The MM-CB-35, giving 35 hp at 3250 rpm that was built between 1987 and 1998 was a half VW. It had a short crankcase and counterweights on the crankshaft for a smooth run. Cylinders and heads cut off, visible on the rocker covers.

-The MM-CB35 is considered a half VW 65 HP. The MM-CB40 is a half VW 82HP.

-When we received the HAPI engine range, the offered engines had powers from 35 to 140 HP. The identification of the Mosler by its displacement can be like this.

-The MM-CB35 of 1035 cc gave 35 HP.

-The MM-CB40 of 1100 cc gave 40 HP.

-Those of 1680 cc gave 55 HP and were known as the 50E, -EH, 2E and 2EH, etc.

-The 1835 cc engine that gave 60 HP was called "Hurricane".

-The 2165 cc engine gave 68 HP and was known as the “Phantom”.

-The 2180 cc engine that gave 70 HP was the "Thunderbolt".

-There were the above mentioned “Red Mosler” and also the “Mini-Merlin” in versions of 125 HP with 1829 cc, and the 140 HP of 2 liters.

-The 2.2 liter engine that gave 82 HP at 3,400 rpm is called "Magnum Plus".
