We found a range of small-impulse rocket engines for use as thrusters to power small rockets, or to maneuver and position satellites, even put them in apogee, like the Symphonie.

-ERNO Raumfahrtecnik GmBH is a subsidiary of MBB that produces the small hydrazine-based rocket engines that are used in various satellites for position correction, maneuvers (thrusters).

-They have also been seen on satellites such as Telecom, Marecs, Giotto.

-Those shown below use fuels such as liquid Oxygen and Hydrogen.

-At the Munich Museum the third stage of the Europa rocket with its Astris engine is exposed. It is developed by MBB and ERNO in 1971.

-MBB is based in Munich and ERNO in Bremen. The Astris project had some failures in its launches. The thrust was almost 24 kN and it used Nitrogen Tetroxide N2O2 and the fuel was Aerozine and Hydrazine at 50%. The running time was 375 seconds.

-The 2.2 lbf thrust engine was mono-propellant running on N2H4, and was used for position control. The 88 lbf engine used vernier control and was fitted on the ELDO-A launch vehicle.

-The 1100 lbf used fluorine and hydrogen.

-From the Bolkow-Entwicklungen period, in 1958, a patent was filed for a rocket engine, which also took air and injected fuel, as we see below. It appears that the rocket engine was ejected after takeoff.
