It is the Glenn L. Martin Motors Co Company in Baltimore, MD.
-Martin was an aviation pioneer, being with the Wright brothers from the first moments.
-But unlike them he continued with his industries for many years.
-Today the company continues as the Martin-Marietta building rockets and missiles.
-But what interests us are the engines that were built with his name.
-In 1919 he had the 8200 model that gave 190 HP at 1,400 rpm with 941 cubic inches of displacement and 8 water-cooled V-cylinders.

He later inherited the engines from Arthur Chevrolet. Especially the 333, an inverted in-line engine with 4 cylinders (see Chevrolair).
-They made the Yl-330-1, 333, 433 and a six-cylinder 500 model.
-These engines were also made at Phillips Aviation. Co.
-And in the years 1934-36 information with reference 3335-452.8 was deposited in the USNA files.
“Martin 333”
-The Martin 333 gave 120 HP with 4 inverted in-line cylinders and precisely 333 cubic inches of displacement.
“Martin 500”
-The Martin 500 is a 165 HP six cylinder.
From Appendix 9: (See Lockheed-Martin) rocket engines like:
-NRL “Viking”
-SICBM-4
From Appendix 12: From the Martin company we have a new photo of the 333 model engine found in the German Flugsport magazine.
