This is the Liming Eng. Manufacturing Corp. Important Chinese industry with extensive experience in the manufacture of aviation engines. They started to build engines in 1954-7 with the WP-5 (VK-1F), licensed by Klimov.

-Thereafter they made the WP-5A (VK-1A).

-Based on the WP-5, the indigenous PF-1A engine developed at the Shengyang Design Office, or (SADO) was made.

-Since 1996 it builds the Turbomeca Arriel under license, as WP-8D.

-The WP-6 is the Tumanskii RD-9BF, and is built since 1958, later they made the WP-6A and WP-6B versions, the latter with 9,290 lbf of maximum thrust with afterburner.

-The WP-7 is the Tumanskii R-11F, manufactured under license and capable of reaching Mach 2.

-In the illustration there is no afterburner. The first WP-7 came out in 1965 at 8,600 lbf. dry and 12,600 lbf with afterburner.

-WP-7A was somewhat overpowered.

-The latest version of this LM engine is the 14,300 lbf WP-7F. maximum with afterburner.

“WS-6”

-WS-6 is a more powerful, self-designed turbofan for 27,500 lbf of thrust.

-Although it was put on the board in the mid-1960s, it was not approved until 1980, due to the fact that there was a halt in all China of at least 10 years due to the Cultural Revolution.
