René Leduc specialized in the study of ramjets.

-Already in 1935 he made a small 4 Kgf thrust engine, presented at the 1938 Paris Air Show and as mentioned, the power was achieved at a speed of 300 m/s.

-His first approved project to be operational and piloted was the 0.10 ramjet. Two prototypes were made between 1946 and 1949.

When he presented his thermojet in 1933 he did it with several proposals to control the boundary layer inside the ramjet nozzles (name given to this type of thermojets).

-In this project, the gasoline was heated in C before being introduced into the combustion chamber by B through a crown of lighters. A, It is an air flow stabilizer.

Two Boundary Layer Control Methods

-The first one reintroduces air at higher pressure into the anterior annular ducts.

-The other method outputs circulating air.

-We see the outline of the design and also the photograph taken at the MAE Museum in Paris.

-The 0.10 was launched from a "Languedoc" mothership.

-Subsequently, a 0.16 was made, which was transformed to 0.10 as it did not meet the prospects. This was in the year 1951.

-Then, in 1953, 2 of the 0.21 model appeared, carrying two Turbomeca Marboré I turbojets, one at each end of the wings.

-Finally, the 0.22 used an Atar 101 type turbojet for support inside the ramjet duct.

-It was tested between 1956 and 1957, the project being canceled that same year.

-The a Leduc turboprop design has been rescued.

-We observe a tight design of the reduction gear, however, and incomprehensibly, the compressor, the chamber and turbine are not resolved at all.
