At Friedrichshafen 2013 AERO Show, this April I saw a new engine installed on the small Konner K1 helicopter.

-The engine that has reference TK-250 is manufactured by Konner itself, and as we see it delivers 250 CV to the shaft and weighs 50 Kgs. What can mislead is the term Diesel.

-It is not an alternative engine running with the Diesel system, it is just that it uses Diesel fuel.

-The Konner TK-250 is a turboshaft with FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine -electronic- Control).

-The solidity between the engine and the gearbox is secured with a perforated large diameter sleeve, as we can see in the photographs from the Italian company itself.

-Konner SRL in Amaro, Italy builds small helicopters, but the “Gas Turbine Division” of Konner itself has developed and built the turbo shaft engine.
