Diesel engines built from 1928 by “Ateliers et Chantiers de le Loire SA” Workshops, near Paris. Sometimes this brand is simply known as "Jalbert".
-They made a four-cylinder 160 hp Diesel and a 6-cylinder 235 hp, both with at least 6 cylinders arranged inverted inline.
-Later they went on to design more complex models such as the 16H that gave 600 hp at 2,400 rpm and the 24H with 1,000 hp.
-The first engine was made in 1936 and the 24H in 1938. They used a kind of carburetor that injected the mixture under pressure, instead of the injectors we know. They were in the experimental field.
-The Type 11 Diesel was an engine with vertical H-cylinders, with two crankshafts and gave 500/600 hp depending on the rotation speed of 2,250 or 2,400 rpm.
“Jalbert Loire”
-Their engines were constructed by Société des Ateliers de la Loire. As in Jalbert of the previous chapter, it does not have a typical diesel engine injector.
-The system they used is that of an injector piston. See Jalbert.
