In 1939 was made public that Italian engineer Mr. Innocenti had made a great unorthodox engine for the time. It was air cooled and consisted of six 6-cylinder engines placed in tandem but not aligned and forming a helical with respect to the crankshaft. It had a total of 36 cylinders.

-Years later this arrangement would be made by Pratt and Whitney with their R-4360.

-The project was not carried out and the illustration we offer is that of a model that we obtained from Flight magazine.
