"Israel Aircraft Industries" brings together the aeronautical industry of different branches. The Bedek Division was created to review IAF and commercial company engines.

Finally around 1978 it started to build the J-79 engine of General Electric in the J-79-GE-19 version.

-It had an increased power with the Combat-Plus system from 17,750 lbf. to 18,750 lbf. In Israel this engine was renamed J-79-IAI-J1E.

-IAI also builds rocket engines. In its time, they were built for the 3-stage Leolink LK-1, with solid fuel based on Thiokol.

-Or for the "Shavit", more complex, with a motor for the 1st stage called TAAS of Israel Aicraft Industries, model SRM-1 solid. The 2nd stage with another solid SRM-2 and the 3rd stage with an also solid Rafael AVS-51. These Shavit fuels are based on HTPB.

From Appendix 9: It's the Israel Aircraft Industries. Among the engines it manufactures are:

-LK-1
-Arrow-1
-Arrow-2-1500
-Arrow-2-500
