Horatio Phillips was the builder of a steam engine in 1892 that he installed on an airplane model. It had two cylinders, between 6 and 8 HP.
“Model at the MAE”
-The model was multiplane. In 1904 he tried another airplane of the same characteristics with a four-cylinder gasoline engine that gave 22 hp, also Phillips, but failed.
-With the next one, he carries out a flight of 150 m.
From Appendix A2/6: See main text. The first test of his famous planes with "blind" wing seems to be that of a captive device, in a circular flight, small and unmanned. It had a steam steam engine that gave 6 hp.

-Now we repeat a new view of the one that used a 22 hp, four-cylinder engine built by Horatio himself.
