HKS is a manufacturer of automobile components and spare parts, and has also built an interesting four-stroke, two-cylinder engine.
“HKS”
-It was built in the city of Shizouka, and was baptized as model 700-E. It gives 60 hp of power. The cylinder heads are oil-cooled and have OHV (Over Head Valves) and hydraulic pullers. Ignition CDI (Capacitative-Discharge-Ignition), electric starter and generator.
“High gearbox”
-The gearbox can be adjusted so that the propeller is higher or lower.
“Low gearbox”
-The gearboxes can have a ratio of 0.388 or 0.289 not forgetting that the 60 hp of power is reached at 6,200 rpm, with two carburetors and a high compression: 11.3 to 1, which should use high octane unleaded gasoline.
From Appendix 6: We obtained a photograph of the HKS model 700E engine, a lightweight "Twin Boxer" with two air-cooled, horizontally opposed cylinders.
“HKS 700E”
-It has double electronic ignition, four valves per cylinder head and "zero adjustment" hydraulic pullers. It gives 60 hp.
-The front gearbox of the engine clearly shows in the gear housing of the crankshaft and the propeller shaft. There is also a larger enclosed space for the electric starter crown.
-Now we have pictures of different views from the HKS 700T.

“HKS 700T”
-For April 2009 it is planned to present a version with turbocharger that will deliver 77/80 hp.
