It is the Hendee Manufacturing Co. manufacturer of Indian motorcycles, in Springfield, MA.

-The aviation engine "Hendee" is an eight-cylinder V-engine.

-It is the same Indian that we will see when the brand is treated by this name, from 1911.

-A Hendee V-8 with a power of 65 HP and a displacement of 452.4 cu. in. was used by Glenn Curtiss for long-haul flights at that year's Harvard Aviation Meet.

-There was a rotary radial of the same brand that gave 50 hp at 1,100 rpm with 7 cylinders. This air-cooled engine had a total displacement of 513 cu. in.

To understand the operation of the connecting rods, the 1929 Continental R 670 single-cylinder engine was chosen.

A demonstration of Version 3, improved at the author's suggestion, is also available on YouTube at a later date. This version shows bronze valve guides, improved valve spring movement, and the split crankshaft counterweights and front bearing balls also move.
