This is the current name of Hamilton Standard, "a United Technologies Company" as it is named.

-It follows the construction line of auxiliary energy sources, ie APU and APP, such as the APS-500.

-They build a wide range of on-board auxiliary power groups. The current range includes the most recognized aircraft, both civil and military, as we will see in this extension of the main text.

-It belongs to the UTC group, but we note that some of the turbine engines that are offered, the T-62, are designed by Solar (see).

-Solar was founded in 1927, and was focused on the construction of collectors and exhaust systems, being an important industry in this sector during WWII. Because of their experience, they went into the manufacturing of these systems in the early turbojet days, later they made their own engines like the T-62.

-In the year 1960 it is acquired by International Harvester, leaving aerospace engines behind and manufacturing only industrial turbines. In 1983 it is acquired by Caterpillar.

-But let's go back to the Hamilton Sundstrand. There are three T-62 engines from Solar.

-The -46-2 is installed on the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft.

-The 46LC for critical flight applications.

-The 40-1 is for helicopters.
