The trials in search for multi-fuel engines (someone has named them as omnivores) that can use all kinds of kerosene, Diesel and Bio-Diesel, begin to proliferate.
-It is the case of GSE, Greg Stevenson who has preferred to take as a basis the two-stroke cycle, controlling the exhaust through valves, the filling of the cylinders and the final compression therefore.
-He made a test with a small two-cylinder V engine, the GSE IV-90 that gives 25 hp at 6,500 rpm. It uses pre-chamber and incandescent spark plug (semi-diesel). it is supercharged
“The small IV-90 for UAV”
-As a curiosity we show the valve that controls a part of the exhaust, in closed and open position.
“Cylinder and valve position”
-Naturally these valves have properly controlled intermediate positions.
-From this engine there are versions of a four-cylinder V, and a six-cylinder V, the TIV-630 that gives 200 hp. The turbo-free version gives 160 hp.

“6-cylinder V-engine, GSE TIV-630”
-There are other models such as the 6 and 12 horizontally-opposed cylinder engines.
“GSE-IO-625”
-The horizontally-opposed, 6-cylinder GSE engine in the above illustration has a dented-belt PSRU. While the next model of 12 horizontally-opposed cylinders has a direct output in this illustration.
“GSE 12-cylinder engine”
-In the designs shown below, we see the use of reduction gear.
“GSE 12-cylinder design”
-This engine was born with the intention of replacing the engines of Beechcraft, Piper, Cessna and similar aircraft before the elimination of AVGAS 100LL due to its content in TEL (Tetraethyl lead).
“Greg with his engine”
-But these are not his latest projects: the Hyper-Bar CRP or induced propeller uses its engines for greater efficiency with contra-rotating ducted propellers.
"Design and testing of a Hyper-Bar for UAV"
-And how could it be otherwise, it enters the concepts of hybrid engines as the next design.
-The piston engine maintains its GSE system of "variable geometry" exhaust ports.
"GSE Inc.'s hybrid engine concept"
From Appendix 10: Shown at fairs and festivals, this Diesel engine with 12 horizontally-opposed cylinders is admired.
-New photos to add to the main text.
“The 12-cylinder model that gives 400 hp”
“The 6-cylinder installed”
From Appendix 12: GSE Inc. is the company of Greg Stevenson, who is a very active designer as we see in the range of engines he has built. They were two stroke Diesel engines.
"Maybe the best known product"
-Water-cooled engines were intended for higher power, such as the GSE TIV-630 model (630 cubic inches).

"Lateral elevation of the previous engine"
"And a picture of the engine with propeller"
"GSE 4-cylinder Vee version"
-It does not seem like a definitive model to be commercialized. It has a very solid appearance, like the previous ones.
-There is another version of the previous model but with two cylinders in V and supercharged.
-Very nice looking and it still has no treatment on all exterior surfaces.
"Very good mechanical aspect of the 2V engine"
-Below we present the air cooled engines, starting with the 2 horizontally-opposed cylinders. And the 4-cylinder one.
"The two mentioned models of 2 and 4 cylinders."
"GSE 4-cylinder radial engine"
"A rare engine project with two exits"
-It is possible to see it rotating with each propeller doing it in the opposite direction.
-We know that GSE is a Stratetek partner, maybe it's the engine or a variant. They modify the McCulloch 4318 to SIETEC operation.
