European consortium for the development, production, maintenance, support and sale of the new generation EJ-200 engines.

“EJ-200”

-Motor engine designed for the European "Eurofighter" Typhoon, intended mainly for four countries, the same ones involved in its manufacture.

-The participation is divided into percentages according to the commitment of each, so RR of England intervenes in 33% in Development and 34.5% in Production.

-European project for the Eurofighter or EF2000 "Typhoon".

-It is the EJ-200 engine, with about 90 kNof thrust built in cooperation by the companies RR from the UK, MTU from Germany, Fiat from Italy and the ITP from Spain.

-Now it is announced that there is a possibility of developing it into the EJ-230, from 112 to 116 kN.

-Another version without afterburner is stipulated at 60 kN.

-The EJ-200 are derived from the Rolls-Royce XG-40.

-MTU of Germany does it in 33% in D and 30% in P.

-Avio from Italy, 21% in D and 19.5% in P.

-ITP of Spain, 13% in D and 16% in P.

-For this reason, a new company, "Eurojet Turbo GmBH" in Munich, was created.

-The engine was named EJ-200 and has roots in the RB-199. Double compressor, high and low, with afterburner and planned for Mach 2.

-It delivers aroundf 20,000 Lbs. The Typhoon has two of these engines.
